EagleRider is currently celebrating their 30th Anniversary so stay tuned for plenty of deals to come for both weekday and weekend Summer Adventures.

With that being said, here are our top 5 Summer Day Ride Getaways.

1.Salt Lake City, UT

Head out of EagleRider’s Salt Lake City location to be immediately surround by mountains and ride through the iconic American West down to one of the most iconic national parks, Capitol Reef. After a few hours on the highway, you’ll get off at Scipio and take the scenic route the rest of the way, surrounded by mountain peaks and small-town charm. Within this national park adventure, you’ll see breathtaking landmarks unlike those seen anywhere else including sandstone monoliths like the Temples of the Sun and Moon located within the park in Cathedral Valley, and the Waterpocket Fold, a warp in the earth’s crust aged 65 million years. If you have time, be sure to stop by Goblin Valley located an hour and a half northeast of the park to explore a playground of goblin-esc hoodoos.

2.Los Angeles, CA

With so many gorgeous rides out of their Los Angeles headquarters, it was hard to narrow it down to just one weekend adventure. Although there are so many options, one of our personal favorites is riding north to see the breathtaking redwoods of Sequoia National Forest to see the Giant Forest. Take a short hike to see Sherman Oaks, the largest living thing on earth by volume. As you ride through these beauties, you’ll pass over creeks, spot wildlife, and be surrounded by gorgeous unmatched views all along the way. Lucky for you, King’s Canyon National Park is only minutes away from the Sequoias, connected by General’s Highway. In King’s Canyon you’ll see roaring rivers, high mountain meadows and peaks, and some of the largest standing groups of giant sequoia trees.

3.Milwaukee, WI

Milwaukee and motorcycle are known for one thing, Harley-Davidson and now EagleRider with their Milwaukee location. This location comes with a plethora of options on how to spend your weekend. Be sure to stop at the Harley Davidson Museum to experience the iconic history of motorcycles by viewing bikes from 1903 to the present. With constantly updating interactive experiences and displays, this museum is something every individual, motorcycle enthusiast or not, should visit at least once. Spend the next day of your moto vacation visiting the Cave of the Mounds National Landmark a few hours outside of the city to enjoy a variety of crystal formations as you explore the caves on a self-guided tour. Also available to you is the 115-mile Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive, which leads you from Whitewater Lake to Elkhart Lake. Along the way you’ll see geological landmarks and historical sites.

4.Albuquerque, NM

Drop in to Albuquerque and head to Jemez Loop for one of the most scenic rides in New Mexico. You’ll see red rock and desert vistas, ride parallel to the river, and cross the Rio Grande. Along the way, stop at Battleship Rock for a quick picnic with a view of the East Fork Jemez River, and hug the curves of the road as you cross a volcanic caldera. The end of the loop will take you through a brief view of the Cibola National Forest. Another suggested ride on your weekend trip is The Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe. On this trail you’ll pass through more of the Cibola National Forest, cross an old section of Route 66, pass through old coal towns, and end your journey in Santa Fe where you can enjoy the local art scene, Pueblo-style architecture, and historic landmarks.

5.Seattle, WA

Planning a visit to the Emerald City? Stop by EagleRider’s Seattle location and ride the Olympic Peninsula Loop for views framed by the Olympic Mountains and lined by the Pacific Ocean. On this loop you’ll enjoy twists and turns on a road that seems to be made for riders. With stops along the way including lush rainforests, shorelines spotted with seaside restaurants and pubs. Being on the fringes of Olympic National Forest, you’ll want a few days to take in all this venture has to offer. Be sure to stop at the infamous Hama Hama Farm Store if seafood is your jam before hitting Hurricane Ridge for endless curves leading to incredible views of the Olympic Mountains. Once you hit the 101 again, you’ll ride through mountainous countryside, Cape Flattery for the most northwestern point of the United States, and eventually across the Hoh Rainforest lined with Cedar Trees. This weekend trip is one you won’t want to miss.
